Terms of Use

By creating an account or using EduSignup, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using EduSignup on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

EduSignup is a school scheduling platform operated by Powered By Pro. We provide tools that allow teachers and school administrators to:

• Create and manage parent-teacher conference schedules
• Create and manage volunteer and supply signup events
• Share booking and signup links with families
• Use the Quill AI assistant to generate event structures from plain-English descriptions

Families (parents and guardians) may book conference slots or respond to signup events without creating an account.

To use EduSignup as a teacher or administrator, you must register with a valid email address and create a password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access at support@edusignup.com

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You agree to use EduSignup only for its intended purpose: coordinating school-related scheduling and communication with families. You may not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Share access to your account with unauthorized parties
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure
• Submit content that is abusive, fraudulent, or designed to mislead families
• Use the Quill AI assistant in ways that violate OpenAI's usage policies

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

EduSignup includes Quill, an AI-powered assistant that converts plain-English descriptions into conference schedules and signup events. By using Quill, you acknowledge that:

• The text you type is sent to OpenAI for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is and is not shared.
• Quill's output is a suggestion - you are responsible for reviewing and correcting it before publishing any event.
• AI usage is subject to a monthly limit per account. Limits may vary by subscription plan. If you reach your limit, you can still create events manually.
• We may adjust AI usage limits at any time with notice to account holders.

EduSignup offers a free trial period followed by paid subscription plans. By subscribing:

• You authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method on the billing cycle you selected.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Your use of EduSignup is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal information you input about families or students is collected and shared in compliance with applicable laws, including FERPA and any applicable state privacy regulations.

EduSignup and all content, features, and functionality of the platform (including the Quill assistant, branding, and UI) are owned by Powered By Pro and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the event content and descriptions you create. By using EduSignup, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

EduSignup is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated content from Quill is provided as a convenience and may contain errors - always review before publishing.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Powered By Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of EduSignup, including but not limited to missed appointments, scheduling errors, or reliance on AI-generated output.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may stop using EduSignup at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we discontinue the service.

Upon termination, your right to access the service ends. You may request an export of your event data before terminating by contacting support@edusignup.com.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of EduSignup after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
